Before launching employeeInsite, complete the following:

Email Whitelisting

Whitelist the email addresses below to ensure delivery of assessment links and notifications. Additionally, all emails originate from below IP address.

Domain Access

Your network must allow traffic to employeeinsite.work and all subdomains.

 

Phone Notifications (Optional)

Notifications can be sent via SMS in addition to, or instead of, email. To enable this, include phone numbers in your HR data file. During import, the administrator will be prompted to opt in to phone-based notifications.

🔒 Authentication & Account Provisioning

employeeInsite creates an initial admin account for a designated administrator.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Employees log in using existing corporate credentials through OpenID Connect (OIDC) with either Google Workspace or Microsoft Azure AD. Alternative login methods include passwordless 'magic' links and one-time passcodes sent via email/SMS.

 

Admin Consent

If your organization requires approval before employees can authorize third-party applications, your IT administrator must grant tenant-wide consent to the employeeInsite application. Without this, employees will see a 'Need Admin Approval' error when attempting to log in.

 

HR Import

Accounts are provisioned in bulk through a guided and secure spreadsheet upload within the admin panel. Your organization provides employee information including names, one or more contact methods (email/phone number), reporting line information (supervisors), and employee demographic data. This is the primary method for onboarding employees and can be repeated as your organization changes.

Accounts may also be provisioned/deactivated manually within the admin panel as needed.
 

👥 Access Controls

Roles

Each user is assigned one of two roles:

Role
Description
Admin
Grants access to the admin panel where administrators manage users, teams, assessments, and notifications. Admins cannot see any confidential employee data and all admin actions are audit logged.
User
Grants standard access to personal assessment results, team results (for those in leadership roles), reports, and our AI tool.

Leader Dashboard Views

Access to certain features is granted independently of role:

Resource
Description
Atlas
An organization-wide analytics dashboard with advanced reporting and demographic filtering. Access can be granted to any user and must be explicitly assigned. Admins do not receive Atlas access by default.
Compass
A manager/supervisor/leader dashboard for any user that is designated as a team leader. Teams are automatically created during an HR import based on supervisor information and may be managed manually via the admin panel.
